This course will explore various methods of installation and product selection for maximum efficiency of irrigation water usage. Participants will learn some basic design and precipitation calculations used to determine run times based on plant types and ET.
A look at how some of irrigations common practices started, and if there is a better way now. We look at design practices as well as business practices.
Participants will be offered numerous real-life examples of irrigation anomalies, installation irregularities, along with general practices and reasons as to why we adhere to certain principles in the irrigation industry. Learn the reasons why you answer questions like "do I really need a rain switch?" or "why do we have to use a backflow?" when discussing proposals with clients. Participants will be asked to share experiences they've encountered in the field.
Two wire systems are becoming more common. While they can be great for the installer we need to look at ways to make them more user friendly down the road.
